My Work Experience

Up to the point that this page was written, I have worked for 4 years w/ four jobs, one of which I am currently working at. Here is a list of my experiences;

Valleyfair- I worked at Valleyfair for around 3 weeks. I was employed in the summer of 1998, but because of poor working conditions and transportation trouble, I left the job. During my weeks there, I emptied trash cans, picked up garbage, pressure washed and buffed various walkways and patios, et cetra. I learned a little, but because of my previous maintenance experience, not a whole lot.

    United Artists Theaters- I worked at United Artists Theaters for around 2 months. I was employed in the summer of 1997 and quit because of school. I kind of enjoyed the theater though and came away better than with Valleyfair. At the theater, my duties included emptying trash cans, cleaning the theaters and main floor, close the theater, run the register in concessions, and tear tickets for admission. This job was my first real job and was very teaching.

    B. Dalton Booksellers- I currently work for B. Dalton Booksellers and have worked for them about two months (since September). I enjoy working there and feel comfortable with B. Daltons work environment. I have learned many customer interaction skills and the runnings of a smaller business.

City of Eden Prairie Teen Work Program- I worked with the city of Eden Prairie's Teen Work Program for two summer's in 1996 and 1995. I worked as a city maintenance worker and gained experience in many maintenance duties. This job does not really count as a job in my eyes as we were paid $1.25 per hour and worked only 12 hours a week and went on field trips on fridays. especially
